The police cover

i know i'm a few days late, but i think its still kinda sad how copeland has disbanded. No more new songs from them. Just like that.I mean i may not be their biggest fan, but i do like some of their songs, especially Another day in paradise and When Finally set free.

"She calls out to the man on the street, "Sir, can you help me?
It's cold and I've nowhere to sleep. Is there somewhere you can tell me?"
He walks on, doesn't look back, he pretends he can't hear her.
He starts to whistle as he crosses the street, seems embarassed to be there."-Another day in paradise

Isnt it often that we take our wonderful lives for granted and hardly stop to see and help those who need it? worse still maybe even turning a blind eye to it? And yet after all the " i didnt see that he/she needed help" self-lie, we suddenly feel a sense of guilt wishing we went up to help, when we all know that is already too late.

Or even
"Feel the pain teaching us how much more we can take"-When finally set free

It reminds me of one word: redemption, that we will all experience pain in relationship as well as society, and it is hard for all of us alike to get rid of it and move on with our lives. But we can learn from the past, and in the future hopefully work things out more beautifully and "make our hearts as perfect as new".

Floating and fighting, like a kite on a string
Till you cut through my tether and changed everything
From the sky you looked small, but I loved you the same
So I darted back quickly to spell out your name
And when they say that I'm just a terrible kite
You'll tell them you're proud of my marvelous flight
